Full Stack Developer

Full Stack Developer

LAUFT is looking for programmers who can join their understanding of UI design with the knowledge of software architecture for the position of Full Stack Developer. Full Stack developers are responsible for implementing features across the entirety of the LAUFT technology stack which includes web and mobile applications, an API, and many integrations.

Full Stack Developers are required to work in teams alongside Technical Architects, Graphic Designers and User Experience Designers to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This position reports to the Product Manager or CTO.

Full Stack Developer Responsibilities:

  • Determining the structure and design of web pages.
  • Ensuring user experience determines design choices.
  • Building reusable code for scalability and extensibility
  • Modelling databases to match features 
  • Focused on creating data that supports quality analytics
  • Collaborate with a team of developers to build, review, and release new code

Full Stack Developer Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Able to create UIs that accurately represent design details like typefaces, grids, and layouts
  • Understanding of how to configure secure integrations with external services
  • Deep understanding of common design patterns and modern programming paradigms
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Technical details: Our stack is straightforward: Rails and Postgres create our API and our Mobile and Web applications are built using Flutter.  Our infrastructure is AWS driven with a handful of external services for email, SMS, and payment processing. Don’t worry if you don’t have Rails or Flutter, we have a mature codebase and we are confident that if you are the right fit for the company, you will get up to speed quickly.

Compensation: 

Salary range is $55,000- $90,000 depending on experience. LAUFT provides an unlimited vacation policy.

Managing Editor

Managing Editor

LAUFT is looking for a talented and motivated Managing Editor to lead our company’s content marketing strategy. The successful candidate must possess excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to maximize the talents of their team.

The managing editor will be responsible for managing a team of writers, staying abreast of developments in Search Engine Marketing (SEO), and studying content performance analytics.

To ensure success as a managing editor, candidates should have an eye for good content, demonstrate leadership, and have good written and verbal communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch managing editor will be attuned to the business-client relationship and is a natural project manager.

This position reports to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.

Managing Editor Responsibilities:

  • Managing a content team that includes writers and graphic designers.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in Google’s SEO algorithms.
  • Monitoring Google Analytics and other tools to understand which content effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to align with strategic business goals.
  • Conducting audience research to figure out how best to reach your audience.
  • Determining which social media platforms to focus on.
  • Growing your online audience.
  • Editing copywriting and checking that all work meets publishing standards.
  • Hiring and supervising copywriters and graphic designers.
  • Ensure that published content is consistent with the company style guide.
  • Planning daily operations.

Managing Editor Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong editing skills, as well as written and verbal communication.
  • Data-driven, analytical mindset.
  • Project management and team working ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with content marketing tools and performance metrics.

Compensation:

Director of Operations

Director of Operations

LAUFT is looking to hire a spirited Director of Operations to take our organization’s operations to the next level. The Director of Operations will encourage an engaged senior management team and guard our values. 

You will analyze data and metrics to evaluate staff performance, lead and encourage employees to maximize performance, and ensure a strong talent pipeline. You will collaborate with human resources to create and implement succession plans for key management and supervisors, and advance cohesion between various internal departments.

To be successful in this role you will ensure quality of operations and customer service, inspire staff to give their all, and expand the company’s footprint and strengthen their reputation. Ideal candidates are ambitious and performance-oriented with exceptional people skills.

This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Director of Operations Responsibilities:

  • Playing a leading role in compiling company budget and growth/operating strategy.
  • Executing strategies to optimize company and asset growth.
  • Ensuring expertise and effectiveness across operating platforms.
  • Creating strategies and implementing initiatives to reduce company costs.
  • Driving employees and leading performance reviews, to ensure engaged and skilled workforce.
  • Initiating better business practices.
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Collaborating with leadership to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability.
  • Ensuring adherence to key performance objectives to meet business and customer expectations.
  • Developing and managing vendor relationships.

Director of Operations Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
  • 5+ years experience managing a complex enterprise’s human resources, finances, operations or strategies.
  • Proven ability of managing budgets in a similar role.
  • Proficient operational and financial acumen.
  • Strong ethical leadership abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to make projections three years into the future.

Compensation:
